This console houses a supervisory control and data acquisition system for monitoring and control of AK Steel’s No. 5 boiler. The customer needed a robust, industrial enclosure style single operator workstation. The industrial computer based distributed control system (DCS) utilized a DeltaV package with two monitors for operator interface.

The application also called for (7) hardwired alarms and emergency shut-off operators. We designed, fabricated and installed a “custom riser” between the task light and monitor housing so that the customer could avoid mounting and wiring a separate enclosure for these operators.  ImageVision also provided all wiring from the riser panel controls to terminal blocks mounted on a sub-panel in the base of the modular console.
